GREENHORN VALLEY BUSINESSES

The Greenhorn Valley is located at the South end of Pueblo County, CO and sits just East of the Greenhorn Mountain. Two small communities in the valley are known as Rye and Colorado City, each have their own unique qualities and attractions. Rye was settled in the early 1860’s and boarders the San Isabel National Forest, residents today enjoy the fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking, hunting, Bishop’s Castle, and many more outdoor activities the San Isabel National Forest has to offer. In the early 1900’s Colorado City was developed, to include Lake Beckwith Reservoir. Colorado City boasts a wide variety of recreational activities from fishing, kayaking, a beautiful 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, a saddle club, and much more. The Greenhorn Valley also has many modern amenities to include medical offices, banks, churches, schools, a grocery store, gift shops, multiple restaurants, post offices, and a library.
